I'm going to work today (Sunday) on Seeking Refuge, then switch back to G. Leger. I'm going to again post the cover of this chart.
When you see the weird way I'm stitching this chart, you'll know where I'm headed. I love working on big houses. My plan for today is to work that green border til I reach the house and then start on it. Each of those green squares on point, has 41 stitches and there are 16 more to stitch before I get to the edge of the house. That's 656 stitches so I doubt I get them all finished so I probably won't get to start the house for a while.
Since I'll just be working on the green band beneath the house today, I'll probably not show another photo and the next thing you see from me will hopefully be some good progress on G. Leger.

So.. Zwiegart is thinner than hand dyed? Don't people just hand dye Zweigart? I guess I better do some research.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is a bit of difference. I just wrote another post about it because it took me a while to figure all that out when I got back into stitching.
DeleteI did NOT need to know there are 41 stitches in those green squares on point! :-) Who'd a thought those cute little things contained so many stitches. Well, at least it's repetitive and I won't have to be constantly consulting the chart once I actually get up to that point.
ReplyDeleteRight! I'm wondering why two rows were needed. :) There really is a rhythm and it goes quickly. I'm doing a few on the top row. I'm skipping one stitch over from the longest row, then stitching one stitch up one side to the top, then coming all the way down to the bottom of that one square, then moving on to the next one. Besides cooking breakfast, lunch, making bread, dealing with two spoiled dogs . . I've stitched 11 of them today.
